The "Fukang Star" Aerospace Meteorite Science Museum is located in the Fukang Service Area, Xinjiang's first cultural and tourism demonstration service area along the highway.

Inside the Meteorite Museum

At the heart of the museum lies the "Fukang Meteorite," one of the world's three most renowned meteorites, originating from the Fukang region.

The museum highlights this national treasure's return as its central theme, combining China's aerospace knowledge with the fascinating evolution of meteorites. The museum's state-of-the-art facilities include various themed areas such as Interstellar Voyage, Meteorite Hunting Academy, Energy Experience, Meteorite Family, Time-Space Tunnel, Cosmic Origins, Space Capsule, Journey Through the Universe, and Solar System Exploration.

Equipped with cutting-edge installations, the Fukang Star museum offers:

An Unnamed Oriented Meteorite Collected by Mr. Sun Dongfang, Museum Director, in Lop Nur, Xinjiang

This uniquely shaped oriented meteorite was personally discovered and collected by Mr. Sun Dongfang, the museum director, during a field expedition in the Lop Nur region of Xinjiang. The meteorite has not yet been officially named or classified, and is preserved as a part of the museum’s private collection.
